Indigenous Teaching Protocols and Customs Policy

ACCEPTANCE
By using our Services, you enter into a contract with us and agree to be bound by these Indigenous teaching protocols and customs policy. If you refuse to be bound by our protocols and customs, please do not request our services. We reserve the right to refuse access to the website or to cancel services if we have reason to believe that a user does not comply with this Indigenous Teaching Protocols and Customs Policy.
The Enseignement Abénaki Indigenous Teaching Protocols and Customs Policy is a development that aims to establish standards and guidelines for the teaching and transmission of Indigenous knowledge.
ARTICLE 1 : Purpose
The purpose of this «Policy of Protocols and Customs of Aboriginal Teaching» is to regulate the protection of the cultural heritage of the use of Enseignement Abénaki services.
This contract is concluded between:

Enseignement Abénaki, responsible for the provision of services, hereinafter called «Enseignement Abénaki»,

Any natural or legal person 18 years and over and all groups or business wishing to access the services, hereinafter called the «Participant».
Indigenous teaching protocols and customs must be accepted by all Participants, and their access to the content of the services constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
ARTICLE 2: Legal notice
The Aboriginal training site Enseignement Abénaki is managed by Indigenous Elders: Réjean OBomsawin, Jacinthe Laliberté, domiciled in Odanak, Québec, Canada.
ARTICLE 3: Access to services
The Enseignement Abénaki Participant has access to the following services only if he is a duly member of the site (that is, he is identified using his login credentials):

Training;

Conferences;
-
Talking circles;
-
Activities and Events;
-
Indigenous consultation and expertise.
ARTICLE 4: Participant’s Responsibility - Respect for Diversity and Indigenous Knowledge
The Participant recognizes the diversity of Indigenous people, their customs, languages and knowledge. It must respect and value this diversity in the teaching and transmission of Indigenous knowledge by Enseignement Abénaki. He also acknowledges that the teachings are passed on to him as personal development only.
It is his responsibility to seek and obtain the consent of Enseignement Abénaki and follow the guidelines before sharing their knowledge. Teaching Abenaki encourages close collaboration with Indigenous representatives and Elders in the teaching process.
ARTICLE 5: Enseignement Abénaki's Responsibility - Respect for Traditional Practices
The Enseignement Abénaki policy recognizes the importance of traditional practices in Indigenous education. It encourages the preservation and transmission of these practices, while respecting the associated protocols and customs.
ARTICLE 6: Accessibility and inclusion
This policy aims to make Indigenous teachings accessible to all Participants, regardless of their origin or social status. It also encourages the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in all aspects of curriculum and teaching.
ARTICLE 7: Reciprocity and Mutual Respect
This policy promotes reciprocity and mutual respect between Enseignement Abénaki and any Participant. It encourages the establishment of lasting and balanced relationships based on the exchange of knowledge and respect for the rights and responsibilities of each party.
ARTICLE 8: Duration of the contract
The duration of this contract is indefinite. The contract is effective with respect to the Participant from the beginning of the use of the Enseignement Abénaki services.
ARTICLE 9: Applicable law and jurisdiction
This contract depends on Quebec and Canadian legislation. The contents of Enseignement Abénaki’s services are under copyright - all rights reserved and are made available to you from the office in Odanak, Quebec (Canada), only on the condition that you accept the Protocol and Customs Policy above.
If you do not agree to this policy, you are NOT permitted to receive our Indigenous teachings or services and you are not permitted to obtain a copy of our materials.
Mandatory conditions for using Enseignement Abénaki services and receiving our shipments:

Regardless of where you access our services, you must consider that the laws applicable in Quebec and Canada govern our teaching content, as if you were physically coming to our offices in Odanak;

If the laws of your country or region prohibit anything that happens about our provision of services or in addition to our provision of services, you are responsible for complying with them and refrain from using our provision of services.
